The Sierra Club will host a presentation by Janet Westervelt entitled “Journey of a Metamorphic Vision: Solo Mini Bus Travel to the West, Burning Man and Beyond.”
The event will be at the Sierra Club’s monthly meeting, on Thursday November 7, at Life the University campus in room in the Center for Graduate and Undergraduate Studies Room 112, 1269 Barclay Circle, Marietta, GA 30060
According to the announcement for the event:
Janet will present her recent, fascinating cross-country drive to 8 National Parks, 21 states, Burning Man and other points west in the mini school bus (“skoolie”) she converted into a travel RV. Take a peek inside Janet’s skoolie before our meeting. See her remarkable photos taken during two trips (11 weeks & 15,000 miles) and learn about her solo camping on BLM & NFS land, a visit to the Arizona Rubber Tramp Rendezvous (a gathering of folks living in their vans full time) and to Burning Man– an extraordinary annual event in the Nevada desert.
Janet is a long-time Sierra Club leader, former Headwaters Outreach Manager for the Chattahooche Riverkeeper and Administrator/Teacher for Montessori Schools. She lives in Demorest, GA.
