This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.
.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight…
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon
and evening, some of which could become strong to severe. Strong
gusty winds, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall will
be the primary hazards. Isolated flooding will be a concern where
heavy rains persist for prolonged periods of time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday…
Scattered thunderstorms are possible each afternoon and evening
across much of the forecast area through Friday, with the highest
chances across north Georgia this weekend. A few storms each day
could become strong to severe, capable of producing gusty winds,
frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall.
