Final public hearing and adoption vote on Cobb’s comprehensive plan to happen Tuesday

Cobb County posted the following announcement to its website regarding the final public hearing and adoption vote by the Board of Commissioners on the county’s 2040 Comprehensive Plan scheduled for this Tuesday, October 11, 2022:

“The final public hearing for the 5-Year Update to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan will take place on October 11, 2022. A decision will be made by the Board of Commissioners at this meeting to consider the final adoption of the 5-Year Update.

“The 2040 Comprehensive Plan is a long-range, community-designed growth strategy that will continue to make Cobb County an attractive place to invest, conduct business, and raise a family. Development of the plan update involved community meetings and workshops, online engagement, stakeholder interviews, and public hearings.

“The Community Development Agency initiated a 5-year update to the Cobb County 2040 Comprehensive Plan on October 12, 2021. On October 11, 2022, the Board of Commissioners will hold a final public hearing and take action on the final adoption of the 5-Year Update.”
