Due to the possibility of thunderstorms, the National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Cobb County and other parts of metro Atlanta on Sunday, March 9.  Although no severe weather is expected as of the publication of this report, gusty winds and frequent lightning would be the main threats if storms do strengthen.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight…

There is a chance of thunderstorms across portions of north

Georgia and all of central Georgia all day today into tonight.

Severe weather is not anticipated, though a strong storm can`t be

ruled out across far south central Georgia. Strong gusty winds of

40-50 mph and frequent lightning would be the primary threats if a

stronger storm does occur.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday…

Thunderstorms will remain possible through Monday across north and

central Georgia. Severe weather is not anticipated at this time.
