A candidate forum will be held Monday, Oct. 5, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Faith Christian Center, 3831 Tramore Pointe Parkway in Austell, offering voters an opportunity to meet candidates and ask questions.
According to the event flyer, candidates have been invited from races for lieutenant governor, secretary of state, Public Service Commission, state House District 39, labor commissioner, insurance commissioner, state school superintendent and agriculture commissioner.
Former Georgia state Rep. Alisha Thomas Searcy, a political commentator, will moderate. The flyer lists ACT, the Mableton Improvement Coalition and Cobb Collaborative’s Vote Your Voice initiative as forum sponsors.
