South Cobb football team and Sweetwater Mission

Krebs gave the following report on a volunteer effort to alleviate food insecurity in South Cobb:

Coach Washington and his South Cobb High School Eagles Varsity Football Team, along with regular volunteers from the First Christian Church of Mableton and Lions Club, loaded cars at the Friendship Revival Church, located at 1880 Old Alabama Road in Austell. Sweetwater Mission provided and delivered the food. All of the players had a great time being kind to our neighbors in need as they loaded the groceries into the cars.

Word of Faith Church pitches in on litter cleanup

Krebs submitted the following report and photos from a local litter cleanup effort:

The Word Of Faith Church along with volunteers from Be Bold and the South Cobb Lions Club removed over 20 bags of litter from Riverside Pkwy and South Service Road near Six Flags. This is an especially important area for the new City Of Mableton. We appreciate their willingness to sacrifice their valuable time to make this destination look impressive to our visitors.

Barry Krebs is a well-known fixture in the South Cobb community due to his vigorous volunteer work with Keep Cobb Beautiful, the South Cobb Lions Club, Sweetwater Mission, and First Christian Church of Mableton.

If you are active in community affairs in Mableton, Austell or Powder Springs, you’ll encounter Barry, because Barry is everywhere.
