Cobb County commissioner Bob Ott was sworn in this morning in a short ceremony at the Cobb County  Superior Court.  Judge Adele Grubbs administered the oath of office.  Ott, who represents District 2, is now the longest-serving member of the board of commissioners.  His district covers Smyrna and Vinings, the economically important Cumberland area, and a large portion of East Cobb

Ott was surrounded by his wife Judy, his daughter Katie, and his son Chris, and took the oath on a bible that has been in his family since the 1860s.
