Cobb Senior Services is hosting a socially distanced chalk art contest at three senior centers and a park on Tuesday Sept. 22 at 9 to 11 a.m.

Registration will be open until Monday Sept. 14, and you can register online or over the phone at 770-801-3400.

The admission for the event will be five shelf-stable foods for for the Cobb Senior Services pantry.

The locations of the contest are the Freeman Poole Senior Center, North Cobb Senior Center, Senior Wellness Center and West Cobb Senior Center. The event for Tim D. Lee center seniors in East Cobb will take place at Harrison Park.

According to the news release on the Cobb County web site:

Participants will decorate parking spots at their senior centers and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. First place winners from each center will be posted on Cobb Senior Services’ Facebook page and the entry with the most “likes” will win a $50 Amazon gift card.

In keeping with social distancing each space will be limited to one person. There will be a maximum of 36 entries, and chalk and a lawn chair will be provided.
