On April 12, 2023, the City of Marietta and Habitat for Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction of the first home being built as part of the Marietta Public Service Housing Program. This program is expected to benefit City of Marietta and Marietta City School employees by providing them with six zero-interest affordable homes.
The ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. at 37 Griggs Street, Marietta, GA 30060.
Mayor Steve Tumlin, City Council, Marietta School Superintendent Grant Rivera and representatives from Habitat for Humanity will take part in the groundbreaking.
