Heavy rain and damaging winds have moved into the area. There is a chance of tornados in the region.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for north and central Georgia.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight…

A tornado watch is currently in effect through 9 am for portions

of north and central Georgia. A line of strong to severe

thunderstorms is expected to move into northern and western

Georgia into Sunday morning. Damaging wind gusts and a few

tornadoes are concerns.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday…

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT…

Spotter activation is not requested but spotters are encouraged

to submit reports of severe weather through the web by going to

weather.gov/atlanta. Please relay any information about observed

severe weather to the NWS.
