  1. Wouldn’t be terrible to know what the money was for but thanks for the update!

  2. That is a significant increase! What does the city plan on doing with the money? It seems our government should learn to do more with less like most households are doing right now.

  3. I see your new homeless what are you coming !
As a landlord you can’t collect rent
As a homeowner and landlord you’re not allowed to work
Yet somehow, life goes on & this HAS TO cost you EVEN more now …

Regardless of the virus expense budget over spending the GOVERNMENT still has billions allotted for budget …

My understanding of being able to even AFFORD to have a budget …….

when you have a budget that means you have more than enough to pay current bills

does this same principle apply equally for both the business owners and homeowners ?

I THINK NOT ESPECIALLY during a PANDEMIC !

  4. +25% ???????????
    Are you serious?
You better rethink your budget and decide what you can get along without.

  5. Quit bitchin you people are always voting for never ending splost school taxes .so as I always say. ” Give the people what they want !! Enjoy the taxes you love so much.

  6. Why is acworth city tax unexceptionly high

  7. Mmm, an increase doesn’t make much sense at this time. With fewer citizens using fewer city services and certain services being restricted expenditures should be way down. This request needs some serious investigation!

  8. So the city wants you to pay for that bridge to nowhere project on main street. I’m sure what other pork programs will they have you pay for?

    That’s a very hefty increase.

  10. Are you trying to prevent people from buying homes in Acworth or run the home owners already living here off. This increase is WAY to much at one time. Your greed is showing. People on fixed incomes can’t afford this increase. The increase needs to the same percentage as the cost of living SS gave.

  11. All I have to say is , if taxes increase , home values better sky rocket too! We’ll be moving to Cherokee County where they seem to have things more organized if these prices don’t show true growth and a larger downtown environment like Woodstock
( thinking that’s the goal ) . If Acworth is the next hot spot , we don’t mind paying a little more then .
