According to a press release from Officer Neil Penirelli of the Cobb County Police Department, yesterday at 7 a.m. police were dispatched to an apartment complex on Favor Road where they found the body of Ericka Stewart, 36, of Marietta in a Nissan Altima.

The Cobb County Medical Examiners office took jurisdiction of the body.

Police are treating the death as a homicide, but have no suspect information to release at this time.

According to the press release, “The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information in reference to this incident is asked to call the Cobb County Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit at 770-499-3945. “
