The City of Smyrna posted the following notice to its webpage announcing its annual tree lighting and holiday celebration:
Join us on November 28 from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm in our downtown around City Hall for the annual kick off celebration for the holiday season, tree lighting and more! Santa will arrive at 7:00 pm and lights the giant Christmas Tree!
Enjoy music and song and come along with us for Home for the Holidays in 2023.
Visit with Santa in the Market Village after the tree lighting ceremony.

Smyrna is the third-largest city in Cobb County, after newly incorporated Mableton, and county seat Marietta.
