We’re setting our sights low here at the Cobb County Courier!

We’re setting our sights low here at the Cobb County Courier. We love big contributions, but realize that in these times of economic uncertainty, readers might be reluctant to commit to regular large contributions.

So our goal is to get 1,000 contributors at a commitment of $5 per month. That could potentially allow us to put on a full-time assignment reporter (right now all our reporters are freelance, paid by the article). And I don’t think it’s an unrealistic goal.

Our readership per 30-day block runs from around 100,000 to as high as 180,000 when one of our articles hits a home run with respect to traffic (typically when the weather here gets apocalyptic).

So from among that many visitors I think we could certainly net 1,000 monthly contributors of $5 per month.

Now don’t get me wrong. I’d love it if you could give more than $5. But I’m asking $5 per month as a minimum, because it’s an amount that shouldn’t put a strain on your budget. If you want to give more, do it.

But if you like what we’re doing, and want to help expand our coverage, please click the little red button below, and commit to $5 per month to help us continue with our good work, and allow us to do even better work in the future.
