Kennesaw’s Dry County Brewing Company is celebrating the second anniversary of its tasting room with a huge party at the brewery on Saturday, September 8.

The brewery promises a full day and night of live music, food from local food trucks, and a massive beer list, with no cover charge or ticket required for entry and a full optional VIP package available. The party starts at 2 p.m. and will go until midnight.

The taproom will be serving beer from multiple pouring stations, including its core beer list, variations, and small-batch beers brewed just for the occasion. Taps will be pouring more than 20 different beers and more than 10 anniversary-only beers, including two collaborations with another local brewery and a meadery.

The main 2nd Anniversary beer is a 10 percent ABV double brut style IPA brewed with Pinot Gris must and double dry hopped.

Both Sides of the Tracks is a 10.4 percent ABV collaboration with Dry County’s neighbors in Kennesaw, Burnt Hickory Brewery. It’s an American strong ale brewed with rye and black peppercorns.

Leprechauno Collab is an 11 percent ABV breakfast stout blended with vanilla mead. It’s a collaboration with local mead brewer Randall Dolan, founder of startup meadery Leprechauno Meadery.

Live bands will be playing all day and night, including the young and soulful belter Chase Truran at 2 p.m., Americana and bluegrass Chip McGuire Band at 4:30 p.m., and humble alternative rockers Wet Jeans at 8 p.m.

Limited VIP tickets are available for $55 and include one-hour early entrance, at 1 p.m., a Dry County Anniversary T-Shirt and Koozie, a special release branded anniversary 12 oz. glass, six tickets for 6 oz. pours of any beer on tap, one four-pack of beer to go, access to two VIP-only taps, and a $10 voucher for any food truck. VIP ticket sales end Sept. 7, and can be found on bigtickets.com.

Dry County Brewing Company is becoming a key part of the Kennesaw community. It is only a mile from the Kennesaw State University campus, making it a popular watering hole for students of legal drinking age. The brewery makes a point to hire students for part-time taproom work as well as internships and full-time positions, and often hosts college nights for students.

The brewery is located at 1500 Lockhart Dr NW, Kennesaw. Guests are recommended to use a Lyft ridesharing service when leaving the party, which are always 50 percent off.
