A man was hospitalized with a stab wound after an argument broke out between him and a roommate.
According to a public information release from Officer Chuck McPhilamy of the Marietta Police Department, officers were dispatched to a Motel 6 on Delk Road on Thursday September 28, 2023, at approximately 11:18 PM on reports of a stabbing.

The public information release described what was discovered as follows:
“When officers arrived, the suspect was also calling 911 but changed his clothing and refused to provide his location.
“The victim was located inside his hotel room with a single puncture wound to the abdomen. Officers divided tasks, rendering aid, and working to locate the suspect.”
A 23-year-old suspect was located in the hotel lobby and was taken into custody.
The suspect was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on charges of Aggravated Assault (F), Possession of a Firearm/Knife During Commission of a Crime (F), and Obstruction/Hindering Law Enforcement (M).
The victim was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment.
Investigators report that the two men were roommates in the motel, and that an argument between them escalated out of control.
